At my core, I’ve always loved connecting with others. Leading teams, guiding creatives, and building spaces where others can grow.
Conquest Creatives was my first venture out of university. It has provided me with the opportunity to lead projects, communicate with corporate clients, and mentor creatives from different backgrounds. Running the design agency taught me the language of business (both the good and the bad) and the process of guiding others to do their best work. That journey gave me the foundation I now bring into teaching and facilitation. At heart, I’ve always had the desire to share.
As an educator, I believe every child and every learner is capable of brilliance. All they need is someone who believes in them. My role is not to judge, but to guide: to create safe spaces, to present information with care, and to hold space for students to try again. When learners feel trusted, they always want to rise to the occasion.
Outside the classroom, I’m also a writer and thinker. Through Dearly Yours, my daily Substack newsletter with over 140 readers, I write about self-development and identity. It’s my way of offering daily reminders for people to live in creativity and confidence. This writing keeps me connected to a wider community and deepens the way I show up for my students.
These are what ties my worlds together! Creative professional, educator, and writer... I'm not sure which label is the most apt. All I know is that I am at my best when l can help others see what’s already inside them, and give them the confidence to bring it out.
