As a Digital Media Trainer with Make The Change, I help young learners express ideas through creativity, technology, and storytelling.
I facilitate digital media workshops for primary school students, using iPads as creative tools for exploration, expression, and communication. These sessions introduce students to visual storytelling, basic media creation, and digital confidence in a way that feels engaging, accessible, and age-appropriate.
Through guided activities and hands-on projects, students learn how to turn ideas into visuals – from simple photography and video creation to poster design and basic augmented reality experiences.
The focus is not on technical perfection, but on confidence, curiosity, and creative thinking.
What students experience:
• Hands-on digital media activities using iPads
• Introduction to photography, videography, and visual storytelling
• Creative use of tools such as Keynote, iMovie, Canva, and AR apps
• Guided project work from idea to presentation
• A safe, supportive environment to explore and express ideas
Learning outcomes:
• Stronger confidence in expressing ideas
• Improved communication and presentation skills
• Creative problem-solving through visual thinking
• A positive, playful relationship with technology
